The Kids College is working with Junior Achievement in San Diego to bring the BizTown program to North County schools.
JA BizTown™ encourages students to learn about the free enterprise system through active participation in a simulated town. Student experiences vary from working in a bank, a television station, or a retail store, to managing personal finance such as writing checks and accounting. With a variety of hands-on activities, students realize the relationship between what they learn in school and their successful participation in a simulated economy.
This approach helps students understand their economic world and prepares them for academic learning and lifelong achievement. JA BizTown provides a new approach to learning economics, and parents are given an opportunity to actively participate as program volunteers.
