April: Arts, Culture and Creativity Month
Join Us in Vista
The City of Vista is collaborating with Kid’s College and other local non-profits to bring a variety of free activities to Vista residents in support of the Arts, Culture and Creativity Month.
Thursday April 2 from 10:00am to noon: Join us for Art at the Adobe where you can explore the beauty and tradition of Mexican tile designing or learn about the vibrant tradition of hojalata, a Mexican folk art dating back to the 1500s. Come create your own work of art.
Saturday April 11 from 10 to noon: At the Jim Porter Recreation Center we invite everyone to join in an energetic, family-friendly Brazilian Percussion Workshop.
Saturday April 18 from 10am-3pm: Don’t miss Earth Day at Alta Vista Gardens! The day will be filled with activities for kids, performances and showcase teen bands.
Tuesday, April 21 from 3pm-4pm: We will be back at the beautiful Alta Vista Gardens for Inspirational Rick Painting.
Sunday, April 26 2pm-3pm: Join us for a hands-on Art Exploration Pop-up at the Linda Rhoades Neighborhood Center. This engaging workshop invites the community to explore a variety of artistic techniques,

Fortissimo
As the program grows, Fortissimo hopes to expand to more schools within the San Marcos Unified School District, contingent on funding availability. The goal is to bring the joy of music and personal development to a broader group of students, enriching their lives through this unique educational opportunity.
