Class Description Day / Dates
Bilingual Music Around the World  Sing, move, and explore! In this six-hour enrichment program, students discover songs and stories from Latin America and beyond while learning simple Spanish words along the way. Through rhythm games, movement, and musical storytelling, children build confidence, practice listening and teamwork, and discover how people around the world express themselves through music. Tuesdays: 10/20, 10/27, 11/3, 11/10, 11/17, 12/1, 12/8, 12/15 (No Class 11/24)
Music Makers – World Beats (Guitar) This is more than a beginner guitar class—it’s a foundation for a lifelong love of music. Students from the September program are encouraged to continue to build essential guitar skills, including notes, chords, and techniques, while discovering the music theory behind what you play. By understanding both the how and the why, you’ll build the confidence and skills to keep playing long after the class ends. We will continue our knowledge of music through playing the guitar with new notes and chords. Art: World Exploration Let’s travel to many places, historical time periods and cultures exploring the unique art, colors and design found around the world! We will include art lessons that depict landscapes, cultural traditions and animals. It will be a colorful adventure using watercolor, oil pastel, colored pencils and other media to create our masterpieces. Wednesdays: 10/21, 10/28, 11/4, (No Class 11/11), 12/2, 12/9, 12/16 (No Class 11/25)
Ms Vi’s Dance Crew
Come join Ms Vi’s Dance Crew. This is a high energy, ALL LEVELS dance class that will keep everyone moving! Dancers will learn choreography and movements to current upbeat and worldly music. Our World Through Science and Art Discover, experiment, and create! In this eight-hour enrichment program, students explore our world through hands-on science investigations and art projects. From patterns in nature to changing weather and colorful landscapes, young scientists and artists will observe, ask questions, and turn their discoveries into creative artwork. Each lesson builds curiosity, problem-solving, and confidence as students explore the connections between science, art, and the world around them. Thursdays: 10/22, 10/29, 11/5 11/12, 11/19 12/3, 12/10, 12/17 (No Class 11/26)
Capoeira, Dance and Music Keep moving, making music, and discovering capoeira! In this eight-week program, students explore this Afro-Brazilian martial art through dance, games, and partner activities. Building on the first session, students practice kicks, escapes, and movement sequences that strengthen balance, flexibility, coordination, and body control. Songs in Portuguese and hands-on percussion activities bring capoeira’s music and cultural traditions to life. Each class encourages creativity, teamwork, and confidence in a fun, inclusive environment. New and returning students are welcome! Music & Mind Games Discover the joy of music through play! Young musicians will build a strong foundation with interactive rhythm games, listening activities, creative challenges, teamwork, and hands-on musical exploration. Every class is filled with fun while developing essential music skills. Tuesdays: 9/8, 9/15, 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/13

Art in the Wild… Critters Around the World Students will discover the world through the exciting combination of art using geography, and social studies for reference. Using a variety of artistic techniques and materials, participants will explore different countries, cultures, historical landmarks, traditions, and world regions while creating unique, hands-on projects inspired by what they learn. Each class encourages creativity, critical thinking, and cultural appreciation as students make meaningful connections between art and the people and places that shape our world. Science Meets Art Young scientists and artists will discover the exciting connection between creativity and science through hands-on projects and experiments. Students will explore the wonders of light, color, energy, and nature by creating solar prints, investigating the sun’s UV rays, learning about solar power, experimenting with prisms and rainbows, and making art inspired by scientific discoveries. This engaging class encourages curiosity, creative thinking, and problem-solving while helping students see how science and art work together to explain and celebrate the world around us. Capoeira Kids: Movement, Music & Fun Capoeira is an African-Brazilian martial art that incorporates aspects of a dance, fight and game. Capoeira helps your child develop a deeper sense of body awareness and control, while increasing their flexibility, balance and strength. Kids learn kicks and escapes through fun exercises and games, engage in physical play with their friends, learn to sing in Portuguese, and develop musicality while playing different percussion instruments. In a fun and inclusive environment, students develop healthy movement habits while fostering creativity and cultural appreciation. Thursdays: 9/10, 9/17, 9/24, 10/1, 10/8, 10/15
Chess Workshop Whether you’re brand new to chess or already have experience, this 90-minute workshop is designed for all skill levels. Beginners will learn the fundamentals of the game, including how each piece moves, basic strategies, and essential gameplay concepts in a supportive, hands-on environment. More experienced players will be paired with others of similar ability to play friendly games, practice strategy, and sharpen their skills. Instructors will be available throughout the session to offer guidance, answer questions, and provide tips to help every participant improve. Come ready to learn, play, and enjoy the game of chess!
